The Art Room and Clay Room at our Christian retreat offer unique spaces where creativity and spirituality intersect, providing guests with the opportunity to explore their faith through artistic expression.

The Art Room is a bright and inspiring space filled with various art supplies, including paints, brushes, canvases, and drawing materials. It’s designed for both seasoned artists and beginners, welcoming anyone who feels called to express their thoughts, emotions, and spiritual insights through visual art. Here, guests can engage in activities like painting, drawing, or crafting, using their creativity as a form of worship and reflection.

The atmosphere in the Art Room is one of encouragement and freedom, allowing guests to explore their artistic gifts without judgment. Many find that creating art helps them process their spiritual journey, expressing what words alone cannot convey. An Art Group meets every Wednesday afternoon, and Retreat guests often join in the convivial atmosphere while being creative. Sessions are led by Nicola who integrates spiritual themes into the creative process, encouraging participants to connect with God through their artistic endeavours.

Adjacent to the Art Room is the Clay Room, a dedicated space for working with clay. This hands-on, tactile experience offers a different form of creative expression, allowing guests to mould and shape clay into meaningful symbols, vessels, or sculptures. The process of working with clay can be deeply meditative.

In the Clay Room, guests can participate in workshops or simply explore on their own, using the provided tools and materials to bring their visions to life. This room provides a tangible way to engage with the concept of being moulded by the Creator, reflecting on biblical themes while shaping their clay creations.

Both the Art Room and Clay Room serve as places of inspiration, where creativity becomes a pathway to deeper spiritual understanding and connection with God.
